A home away from home for young Cameroonians in Calgary
Since 2020 we have grown from 10 friends to 83 members who volunteer, learn and celebrate our culture together. In 2026 we hosted the first national convention for Cameroonian youth in Canada.

2020
Founded on July 5. Our first volunteer day was at the Mustard Seed.
2021
Our first humanitarian project supported two orphanages in Cameroon.
2022
Kids Day Out at the Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park and Telus Spark.
2023
A new executive team, a summer camping trip and game nights.
2024
Black Ideas Grant winners and our first youth career networking event.
2025
Paint and Sip, our first soccer matches with Edmonton teams and our first Christmas party.
2026
This is Cameroon ’26, the first national convention for Cameroonian youth in Canada.

This is Cameroon ’26
In May 2026 we hosted the first national convention for Cameroonian youth in Canada: the premiere of our film Mbenguiste, the CamYouth Connect conference, a soccer tournament and a red carpet gala, with sister associations from Edmonton, Ontario and Ottawa-Gatineau.
